One of my favorite cycling experiences in Europe was a week spent cruising the hills around Riccione, Italy. Riccione is located on the Adriatic Sea, 80 miles south of Venice. The hills around the area offer great cycling on well paved roads. Motorists are especially bike friendly.
Accommodation For Cyclists
The city has at least twelve hotels catering specifically to cyclists. They supply everything you need to make your stay a joy. Most of the hotels have a fleet of quality, well maintained bikes for rent. They also have a staff of seasoned ride leaders who plan rides specifically geared to the needs and abilities of their guests.
The Riccione Cycling Tour Experience
A typical day starts with a bountiful breakfast. After the ride a buffet is available with salads and pasta. Most of the hotels also offer luxurious spas to soothe your aches and pains. In the evening a great meal awaits with complimentary wine. You really feel pampered.
Cycling Tours - Great Value For Money
The amazing thing is the cost - which can run as little as $600 a week and includes meals, lodging and guided tours.
